Black Hills Gold Medical Jewelry features grape leaves, grape clusters and grape vines in a tricolor motif of green, rose and yellow gold.
The distinctive green and rose golds are created by adding silver and copper alloys to 10k yellow gold. By federal mandate, this style of jewelry must be manufactured in the Black Hills of South Dakota in order to carry the name "Black Hills Gold Jewelry".
Black Hills Gold Jewelry is produced from a 10 karat gold blend, accented with 12 karat rose and green gold leaves. Gold in its purest form (24 karat) is too soft to use in the manufacturing of jewelry and of course is extremely expensive. Therefore, alloys such as copper and silver are properly balanced to give it strength, reduce the cost and maintain the brilliant gold color.

The information on the backs is engraved into the metal, but often, because
it's easier to read, we add a thin engraved disc and place it over the back.
You can remove it but it's very nice so you'll probably keep it that way.
